About Matt
He’s been building bicycles for over 20 years, riding motorcycles for 15, has multiple patents, and has built 800+ ebikes/100+ custom bikes since Spark’s founding in 2018. He developed our new frame building technique and designed every product we’ve launched. Matt creates tons of online videos, has helped write ebike laws around the country, and advises other ebike manufacturers around the world. He builds every single bike and is supported by our 4 person team.

Bikes, Coffee, Music, Art? Spark’s North Branford, CT headquarters is a creative wonderland. You can come test ride our electric mopeds or traditional ebikes from our partners, Aventon. We also teach classes, operate a cafe in the front, and sponsor monthly events.
True USA Manufacturing
We don’t just add a logo to an imported bike, we build them by hand. All bikes are designed by Matt and assembled by our team here in Connecticut. From welding, painting, battery building, wiring, and testing, it is all done here in Connecticut.
Leading the Industry
Launched in 2018, Spark has been leading the electric bike industry. Our small team created the first 100% registrable emoped in the USA (the Bandit), we developed our own frame building technique now used by dozens of companies around the world, and we have worked with lawmakers around the country to develop guidelines to promote safety and improvements to quality standards.
